Important Update for the EcoEnergy and LiveSmart BC grant programs: ecoENERGY Registration Closure and Post-Retrofit Evaluation Extension

Once the evaluation is complete, the homeowner is then eligible for Provincial Grants. Currently you have 18 months from the date of your evaluation or until March 31 2013 (or which ever comes first) for the provincial grants, to complete all your upgrades. Once you are ready, you then book another appointment. We will do a follow up evaluation, visually verify your upgrades, and have you fill out a grant form (please keep records of all invoices, receipts, make and model numbers etc.).

As an example, if you replace or install an Energy Star gas furnace with a 95% AFUE or better with a DC variable speed motor you will receive a grant cheque from LiveSmart BC, for $600.
On average you can expect to recover a large portion of your costs on the new furnace through energy savings in 4 to 7 years depending on usage.
Up to $60 per Window or Door (must be Energy Star certified windows and doors). Hot water: Replacement with an instantaneous hot water on demand unit with an energy factor of 90% -- you will receive up to to $300. See grant brochures below:
